Congratulations to all Bishop McDevitt athletes that participated in the 2016 PIAA Swimming & Diving Championship Meet: Jonathan Mata, Alex Pompei, Matt Yoffe, Josiah Lauver, and Mason Roadcap.
The boys 200 Medley Relay team of Jonathan Mata, Alex Pompei, Matt Yoffe, and Josiah Lauver earned a fifth place medal and established a new team record of 1:39.26.
Josiah Lauver and Jonathan Mata advanced to evening finals in the 100 Backstroke. Jonathan finished 10th and Josiah earned a fifth place medal with a new team record of 51.94.
The boys 400 Free Relay team of Jonathan Mata, Mason Roadcap, Matt Yoffe, and Josiah Lauver advanced to finals and finished 14th with a new school record of 3:20.70.
The boys team finished 14th overall in team standings.
Parents: PLEASE read the Procedure for Advance Sale of PIAA Swimming Championships Series Tickets. A school is entitled to three (3) tickets per unique qualifier per day. Families with state meet qualifiers should email Coach Kurt with the number of tickets needed per day no later than Tuesday, March 8 at 8 p.m.
The 2015-2016 PIAA Swimming and Diving Championships will be conducted on Wednesday, March 16 through Saturday, March 19, 2016 in Kinney Natatorium on the campus of Bucknell University, Lewisburg, PA. Girls and Boys AAA competition will occur on Wednesday and Thursday and Girls and Boys AA competition will occur on Friday and Saturday.
