2021 Franklin & Marshall Open Meet Timeline - BEFORE Scratches
The tentative timeline may change after scratches have been made and the meet is seeded, but it will give you a good idea of how long the meet will run.
A bus will depart from the high school's faculty/athletic parking lot at 8:15 a.m.
Travel time from Bishop McDevitt High School to Franklin & Marshall is approximately 45 minutes.
Schedule:
Swimming Warm ups: 9:30 ‐ 11:00 a.m. Competition: 11:00 p.m.
* * * IMPORTANT NOTES FROM MEET DIRECTOR * * *
1) Building entry will be from the west side of the building for all meet participants and spectators. This is the “normal” entrance for any of you who have been here for USA Swimming meets in the past.
2) Per F&M policy, masks must be worn above the mouth and nose for all meet personnel, coaches, and spectators, as well as swimmers when not directly engaged in swimming.
3) As some of you know, this meet came together very late. It’s also final exam week on our campus, so we will be a bit short-staffed. As such, we will be soliciting backup timing help from parents in attendance. Parents can avoid paying $5 for admission if they volunteer to time!
4) We have begun streamlining meet operations and only print programs and results for the deck — coaches and officials. Results will be posted on the wall as well. But for spectators, they should access programs and results through meet mobile. It will be free for them, and the meet will be in there titled “Diplomats Open”.

Eligibility: Open to members of PIAA schools.
Entry: Entry times can be updated up until the deadline. Swimmers are limited in competition to no more than four (4) events per PIAA rules: (2 individual events + 2 relays, or 1 individual event + 3 relays). Each school may enter any number of athletes per event as long as they don’t exceed the 4 event limit per athlete. Relays are limited to one per team. All events are timed finals.
Rules: Current PIAA Rules & Regulations shall govern the meet.
Scoring: Individual: 9‐7‐6‐5‐4‐3‐2‐1
Relay: 18‐14‐12‐8‐6‐4‐2
